THE PERKS OF WORKING FOR US
We are committed to providing a healthy work environment in which our employees feel valued, empowered, and important.
- Seaside follows the class size recommendations to ensure a low teacher:student ratio.
- Teachers receive a discounted tuition at our ELC's for their 3 & 4 year olds.
- We offer a competitive health plan for employees and families, including dental and vision plans.
- All full time employees receive paid time off.
- We have a 403(b) retirement program with company matching.
- Pay is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
- Teachers have opportunities to advance their pay through school sanctioned tutoring, after school clubs and completing Waldorf Certification.
- We provide all of our staff an opportunity to become Waldorf certified through Kentahten Institute at no cost to them! Child care is also provided during trainings.
- We strongly believe in collaboration and supporting our coworkers, all three campuses are invited to come together for trainings, support and preparation over the summer. We provide food, child care and materials for these collaborations.
WHAT OUR EMPLOYEES ARE SAYING....
"Seaside is a warm, supportive, and caring school. Everyone, from the administrators, teachers, support staff, and families, are all there to help out wherever and whenever needed. It truly is the proverbial village, holistically educating and caring for the students while supporting one another in doing so. I feel very lucky to be a part of the Seaside community."
- Ms.Bonnie, Kindergarten Teacher
"I think what makes Seaside stand out is that our students LOVE coming to school, and therefore, LOVE learning. This lifelong love of learning is a gift that our students will always carry with them. Because our curriculum is both rigorous and developmentally appropriate, students learn content that nurtures their interests and supports their struggles, both socially and academically. I love being part of a teaching community that creates a student-centered learning environment, where we meet our students (head, heart, hands) exactly where they are ♥️"
- Mrs. Salvato, 3rd Grade Teacher
"I love working at Seaside because we are allowed and encouraged to meet students where they are. We are very focused on the whole child and teaching in a wide variety of ways so that there is something for everyone. The administration is very understanding that teachers are only human, and things come up. The school is a giant family. "
- Ms.West, 2nd GradeTeacher
"My Seaside family are the best colleagues I could have asked for. As a first-year teacher, I have felt fully capable in my position because of the support I’ve received from everyone. Through the highs and lows, we always feel celebrated and encouraged. I enjoy each new day that I get to be here!"
-Ms. Gutcher, 5th Grade Teacher
"I chose to work at Seaside because I believe in the Waldorf way of learning, it is the best of both required public school standards and real-life skills.I love feeling like my time spent with little minds and hearts will grow them into genuine and good people."
-Ms.Patow, KG Teacher
“After working in the early childhood education field for 24 years and now being back in the classroom as a first grade teacher has been a very rewarding. Working with children and their families is what I love most. Learning about Waldorf and being certified in it soon makes me feel very accomplished. It's been a reminder that what I went to school for and what I always wanted to do is still a passion of mine today.”
-Ms. De La Rosa, Teacher
“I love how much Seaside values the WHOLE child. I appreciate how the school gives us space to connect with each student & check in on their well-being. You can see the joy in the students!”
- Ms.Craig, Art Teacher
“I enjoy morning circle the best. I love the freshness of the morning when we are checking in with one another. I’m not used to having so much support and encouragement. I love it. I feel like I hit the jackpot, getting this amazing job. I am proud to be a part of an out-of-the box way to educate children! I love the honesty and the enthusiasm my second graders have. They are all so special and I love knowing that they have great potential to make the world a better place. I love teaching social studies and how to be a good citizen and friend.”
- Ms.Glaser, Teacher
“I enjoy the relationships I can build with the students. The staff is my second family. I'm no longer a zombie! I got my joy back.”
-Mrs.Fekete, Teacher
