Bridging the Gap
Seaside Charters are the only public, tuition-free schools inspired by Waldorf principles in the Southeast. We would not exist without the generosity and pioneering spirit of our founding and current faculty, administration, parents, students and community volunteers, who believe that learning can be challenging and still joyful, and that high quality public education is a cornerstone of our democracy.
As a special tribute to our donors from 2012-2014, a tree mural features the names of donors from our inaugural year and has a permanent place at the beach school. Please stop by and see it!
Seaside Charter Schools need your financial support!
We receive state funding, but, as with all public schools, it falls short of what is needed. We are committed to providing our students with highly qualified teachers and rigorous, developmentally appropriate instruction. Our Waldorf-inspired curriculum includes instruction in music, art, handwork, yoga, surfing, and two languages (American Sign Language and Spanish).
You can help bridge the gap by donating directly to the school at the link on the right and by encouraging businesses to partner with Seaside.
